About Downloading Forms and E-Books

 

 

How do I get to my download products?
There are two ways to get your downloads.

  1. If you have your computer set to allow cookies, your downloads will show automatically in a box called "Your Downloads" on the right hand side of the page when you visit our Online Catalog at: http://childcare.net/catalog/catalog/default.php. Simply click on the blue "Download" button and you will be taken to your downloads. Click on the file to download. If you click on the "Archive" button, follow steps b) - d) below.

  2. a) Login to the system using the following link: https://childcare.net/catalog/catalog/login.php.
    b) In the "My Profile Info" box click on "Order History". This will pull up a page called "My Order History"

    Click on "View Order" for the last order you placed(in the yellow box at the top of the page).
    d)
    Your download link is at the bottom of your invoice. Simply click on the blue "Download" button and you're all set.

My Login won't work. What am I doing wrong?
Your Login requires that your Email address and Password be verified before granting you access to your Profile area. Often, when a Login doesn't work it is because you did not put in the right Email address or password. If you continue to receive an error message after trying to Login click on "Password forgotten? in the Returning Customer screen https://childcare.net/catalog/catalog/login.php and a new password will be sent to you. If you still have difficulties logging in with the new password sent to your Email address, you may have set up your Profile using a wrong Email address. Please call us at 519-256-1075 to have this changed for you.

You can change your new password to whatever you like by clicking "Edit My Profile" in the Login Here box.

 

What should I do when the "File Download" popup window appears?
Click on the "Save" button and choose a file or disc location on your computer to save the file to. Most people choose to save to their Desktop to locate their download faster. DO NOT open the file before saving it. You may inadvertently forget to save the file altogether and lose your download. Make sure you write down the location where you are saving the file to on your computer before you click "Okay". For security reasons you are only allowed only 3 downloads for each product you purchased.

When your download is complete, CLOSE OUT the download box and go to your Desktop or the location where you saved your file.

 
What programs do I need to open my download now that I have it?
Once your files are opened through WinZip, you'll need one or all of the following programs to read or work with them. First and foremost, downloaded forms and E-Books are zipped files (for faster downloading) and require a program called WinZip to open. If you do not have the program already installed on your computer, you can download a FREE Evaluation program using the link below:
 
  WinZip file unzipping utility.
This program will unzip the downloaded file and allow you to save it to the location you choose on your computer. Click here for a free WinZip program download.
 

 

 

All E-Books are set to Acrobat Reader format for easy viewing and navigation. Business forms are in both Acrobat Reader and MSWord format so they can be edited to meet your specific business needs.

MSWord, Excel or Acrobat Reader.
All download forms are developed in either MSWord (.doc) or Excel (.xls) so you can work with them to insert your own logo, contact information, or to edit the forms with information specific to your business. Other word-processing and database programs also work well with the .doc or .xls formats. Please check your system prior to downloading.

 

What other download tips should I know about?

  • When downloading, always save your download to your Desktop or any other folder you want to on your computer.
  • DO NOT OPEN THE FILE from the download window.
  • Simply close out of the download window and go to the location where you saved your download, such as your Desktop.
  • Next, click on the download and your file should automatically open with the WinZip program. All your files will be ready for viewing.

Why do I get a blue screen when I open my Child Care Business Forms file from WinZip?
The blue screen lets you instantly place all the forms on your computer quickly without having to open each file first and then saving it. Generally the forms are saved to the following location on your hard drive: C:\Program Files\Child care Business Forms. However, you can choose the file location for your business forms from the drop down arrow in the grey part of the screen. Remember to write down the location you saved the files to so you can find them quickly after closing out of the blue screen.

 

I can't find my downloaded business forms after installing them. Where are they?
If you ordered the downloaded version of our Child Care Business forms and have opened the blue screen, your files have been saved to the following place on your hard drive: C:\Program Files\Child care Business Forms

 

Why does it show I have 3 downloads when I only bought 1?
This means that you have an opportunity to download the file 3 times in the event you lost the file on the computer, did some editing to it and forgot to save it under a different name then want to go back to the original file, etc.

Why does my download say "Expires on:" then has a date beside it?
The "Link expires" date allows you a certain number of days to retrieve your download. This is for security reasons. All materials purchased on our Website are ©Copyright by childcare.net.
